About EasyChute
EasyChute exists because two people who spend their days around construction debris got tired of watching crews carry it down the stairs one bag at a time. Remodeling contractor Tim Hogan, president of KAAT Services Group, and Leo Guarente, the owner behind Junkster Bag and Junk Depot, set out to find a better way to get debris from an upper floor into a dumpster — something lighter than a rented metal chute and faster than a wheelbarrow and a staircase.
After months of research and testing prototype after prototype on real job sites around Boston, the EasyChute was born: a lightweight construction trash chute made from woven, coated poly fabric that one person can carry, hang and take down.
What makes the EasyChute different
- Light enough to carry. A 10 ft section weighs under 3 lbs; even the 50 ft section is under 15 lbs.
- Hangs in minutes. Four woven loops top and bottom take ordinary carabiners or quick-connects — no outriggers, frames or rental crew.
- Builds to any height. Sections connect with a 1.5 ft overlap that keeps dust and debris inside, in 10, 25 and 50 ft lengths.
- Yours to keep. It folds into a small box and goes back on the truck for the next job.
Made for real job sites
From kitchen remodels and attic cleanouts to roof tear-offs and multi-story gut renovations, EasyChute gives crews a direct, enclosed path from the work area to the dumpster. That means fewer trips up and down the stairs, less dust in hallways and stairwells, and a cleaner, safer site. EasyChute meets or exceeds applicable OSHA regulations — including the rule that material dropped more than 20 feet outside a building's walls must go down an enclosed chute.
